This base kit is
suggested for teams that are just getting started and do not have any LEGO®
materials to use for building their model. With this configuration
team members are provided an abundance of LEGO materials including cam wheels,
axle extenders, crane hooks, wheels, rack and pinion gears, bricks, plates, and
gear blocks. Using the motor and battery pack teams will not only be able to
build, but also bring their model to life. Rounding out this year’s offering
are the LEGO SERIOUS® Play™ mini-kits, Jr.FLL LSP activity cards and Jr.FLL LSP
Coaches Guide. This new aspect of Jr. FLL includes a variety of simple building
activities which encourage each team member to find their own voice while
learning how to cope with team dynamics.

This kit is perfect for returning
teams who are eager to add robotics as a component to their Jr.FLL model. The LEGO® Education WeDo™ system was designed specifically to bring the fun and
challenge of robotics to students ages 7 to 11. Team members will be able to
build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models
with colorful, visual software designed just for kids; and explore a series of
cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and
literacy. The electronic activity pack explores four different themes, allowing
team members to become familiar with the product before constructing their Jr.FLL model. This kit is a great transition to the skills need for the FIRST LEGO
League.
