FTC World Championship was a huge success thanks to all of the dedicated volunteers who spent untold hours prepping and setting up for the competition. Congratulations to the FTC World Championship Inspire Award Winners, Team 4220 The LANDROIDS, from Livingston, NJ. Congratulations to Team 4444 from Whitefield Academy, Louisville, KY, the Captain of the Winning Alliance. We saw excellent work from all of the teams and seeing all of those high lifts under one dome was very exciting! Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and will.i.am paid visits to FTC this year. will.i.am spoke and competed against Dean Kamen at our opening ceremonies and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar refereed a match and spoke at closing ceremonies. New for 2012-2013: Each registered FTC team will receive a registration kit once their registration fee is paid. This kit contains the LabVIEW for LEGO MINDSTORMS software and other useful tools and resources to get you started in the 2012-2013 season. To ensure delivery of this kit, a shipping contact is now required for registration. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery. |

FIRST Tech Challenge Expands Options to Allow a New Mechanical Building System for Competitions! Over the next year an FTC is expanding the program by adding an additional kit of parts called MATRIX.
