Pre-Season
Pre-season begins with registration and runs until September when the new year's game is announced. If you are a rookie team, the pre-season should ideally begin during the preceding season and you should make it a point to attend a late-season FTC tournament. During Pre-Season, you should do the following
- Attend an FTC tournament if you're a new team - We also recommend networking with an experienced team or Mentor.
- Budget - Plan your team's finances for the season
- Marketing Materials - Tools to help with fundraising
- Recruit team members
- Register your team through the Team Information Management System (TIMS)
- Order your Kit of Parts
- Choose a programming language and have students become familiar with it
- Attend workshops, demos and scrimmages
- Become familiar with the tools in the FTC Toolbox
