
FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship
Atlanta, Georgia, April 14 - April 17, 2010
The FIRST Tech Challenge Championship is the fin and largest event of the Competition. 100 FTC teams will be eligible to participate. Inspire Award winning teams at FTC Championship Tournaments
- Captain teams of the Winning Alliance at FTC Championship Tournamen
There are additional spots available for the FTC World Championship. These will be awarded based on how many teams meeting the eligibility criteria above, accept invitations to the FTC World Championship. These additional spots will be offered to teams based on a Three Tier lottery system.
Tier One will include Winning Alliance teams that were “first picked” by the Winning Alliance Captain team. Once those teams have been offered spots and declined or accepted their invitations, the Tier Two lottery will be held.
Tier Two will include Winning Alliance teams that were “second picked” by the Winning Alliance Captain team. Once those teams have been offered spots and have declined or accepted their invitations, the Tier Three lottery will be held.
Tier Three will include Think Award winners from each Championship Tournament. Placeholder entries will be added to the drawing to accommodate events that have not occurred by January 5th.
The lotteries will take place on January 5th. Teams who have been awarded spots will receive an invitation from FTCteams@usfirst.org with instructions on how to register for the World Championship Tournament.
