Thank You to the National Defense Education Program

Dear National Defense Education Program:

On behalf of FLL and the World Festival volunteers and teams, we want to personally thank you for your support of the World Festival Opening Ceremonies.  It was an honor to have you sponsor this event, and we hope you enjoyed the ceremonies.  We do our best to make it all about the children, giving them time to perform and just be kids.  Each year they astound us with their talent, wisdom, and humor, and we hope you enjoyed their performances as much as we did.

As our very first official sponsor for World Festival, we also want to share the impact of your donation.  Our audience expands to over 3000 members, and while primarily FLL teams and their guests, we are honored to have Dean, Woodie, many of the FIRST Board of Directors, and our Executive Advisory Committee there to share in this special ceremony with us.  Once again the Atlanta weather shone for us, making a perfect evening for all.

With great appreciation, thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely,

The FLL Community

What is the World Festival?

FIRST is honored to host the annual FLL World Festival in conjunction with the FIRST Championship in Atlanta each April. The FIRST LEGO League World Festival is open to spectators free of charge, as are all FIRST events.

The World Festival is a 2½-day event celebrating team, robotic, and project accomplishments. During the days, team members take part in judging sessions and robot competition rounds, culminating at a final FLL award ceremony. Evenings are filled with informal activities including an FLL Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park. On Saturday evening, an exciting FIRST Finale spectacular is also offered to all FIRST Championship participating teams to complete the experience.
